Treana Peake - Owner
Treana Peake started Obakki in 2005. Her objective was to create a luxury brand that fostered the inspiring, creative talent of young and emerging designers. Treana believed in a luxury product that was born from the fruits of collaboration, and taking the design helm herself, the collective fashion house was born. Starting with an award-winning flagship store, the business quickly grew a wholesale following, which today spans the globe and includes such stores as Takishimaya, Neiman Marcus, Kitson, Stanley Korshak, and Scoop.
Having always had a heart for philanthropy, in 2009 Treana saw her vision for the company come full circle when she launched the Obakki Foundation. Focusing on educational development, health centers and clean water projects, the Foundation uses the fashion world as a vehicle to raise money and awareness for big-picture global issues. Fully participating in the physical efforts of the Obakki Foundation, Treana has traveled to Africa, living and worked in the very environments she has vowed to change with the people she has committed to empower. As a wife and mother, a humanitarian and a business person, Treana fully embodies the values and aesthetics of the Obakki woman, and is a true arbiter of style.
