Night Print Scarf
500 of these 'limited edition' NIGHT PRINT scarves worn around the world build a clean water well for the village of Nukta.
A lack of clean water is devastating to the most vulnerable residents of Nukta – women, children and the elderly. Without this basic necessity, residents rely on muddy puddles to drink from during the rainy season and, when the rain disappears in the dry season, they are forced to relocate on foot to distant communities. Those who are too elderly or sick to make the journey are often left behind. Such instability is exhausting, especially for the women who are responsible for transporting the meagre belongings of their households. This impermanence also keeps children out of school and renders gardens barren for much of the year. Overall health of the villagers is poor and, with no relief in sight, their collective spirit is broken. You can help change that.
Each scarf is packaged with tags and material about the Obakki Foundation’s programs for clean water and information about the community that benefits from your purchase.
As you wear this scarf, remember its greater purpose.
Thanks to your support, this village will have access to clean water.
